Ps. 139:13-14:
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's
womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful. (NIV)
Did you
know you are special: that you have been created by God as an
individual who has never been duplicated? Did you know that there
are ideas in you that are in no one else? Did you know that the
dark world has been trying to stop your fearful and wonderful design
since you were born? God has created you as a "special creation",
designed to bring His Kingdom to this earth. Each one of us has
"special" pieces of the puzzle to contribute to the big picture of
the Kingdom of God. You have been given the ability to "think" and
a "free will" in which to execute this thinking. Let's stop the
"thinking" of failure and selfishness and let's consider how
wonderfully we have been made. Come on creations of God, let's get
on with it!
I would like to ask you
this question, "Who are you?" You might say, "I am a teacher", or
"I am a factory worker." Some could say, "I am a pilot" or "I am a
brick mason." If you answered like any of these responses, you have
answered incorrectly. This is "what" you may do for a
vocation, but it is not "who" you are. When I ask most people who
they are, they really do not know. They associate their identity
with what they do, instead of knowing who they really are. If you
have the Holy Spirit in your life, you have the ability to discover
this "new self"; this person who is waiting to explode with life.
Eph. 4:22-24:
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put
off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful
desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and
to put on the new self, created to be like God in true
righteousness and holiness. (NIV)
All of my life I have heard that I must
die to everything. No one told me that I was to live and discover
the real me, the one that could really live life to its fullness.
You can see in the verse above that if you are going to find the
"new self" which has been promised, you must first have a "new
attitude". This means the old self lives in your "old attitudes".
You must have fresh new perceptions of yourself before you can enter
into the life of this "new self". A "new self" must have a "new
mind" or it would be a new self with just the same old thinking;
which would really not be a new self at all. Fresh new perceptions,
which change the attitude, create the "new mind" to go in this "new
self". You cannot go forward in life if you have the same old
perceptions of yourself. You do not have to let the circumstances
of your life dictate the person you are, no more than you have to
let what you do determine who you are.
Let me tell you just a little about who
you are and are not. You are not to be a slave unto the powers of
darkness of control and manipulation. You have not been re-created
to live in "hell" all of your life, but instead, to live in the
"power" of the Kingdom of God. To discover this "power" you must
understand that it takes a new attitude of the mind from a "new
self". Remember, you have been created to create with God. You
have also been created to move in the supernatural world powered by
faith. So let's go for it!
This "new self" is on a journey and
will discover the Divine Plan that God has for you: this very
special creation. You must be able to identify your old thinking
and cast it down, not believing it to be adequate to guide you on
the rest of your life's journey. Your thinking is found in the vast
spaces of your mind. Your mind is made up of your conscious
thinking and your subconscious thinking. Your conscious thinking is
where you think you are always living; not understanding that your
subconscious mind dictates most of your life. The conscious part of
your mind programs the subconscious part by repetitive thinking of
the conscious mind. Most of your life is lived through reacting to
everyone and everything around you, never living life out of your
creativeness. Everything you have ever thought is stored in your
subconscious mind: fears, joy, love, and hatred. Your feelings and
emotions are stored in your subconscious mind; thus they are
influenced by all of the thoughts with which they have been stored.
These feelings and emotions are the direct influencers of "your
will", which is the seat of your creativity. You can see how you
create what you are feeling, so how you feel is very important. I
have heard it said when someone is having bad feelings, "Well, just
get over it." This is easier said than done, but it is very
necessary. These feelings are influencing your creative thinking.
A Special Creation is
designed to have "special" thinking which creates a "special"
nature. Your nature is made up of the collection of your
subconscious thoughts, and your subconscious mind is a collection of
your conscious thoughts. Therefore, our nature is being created by
the conscious efforts of our thinking. Our nature dictates how we
react and respond. This "special nature" will bring peace and joy
to the "Special Creation". How do you respond when you are asked
the question, "How are you doing?" Do you go into an immediate
response of how bad you feel and how the world has mistreated you
this past week? Is your response one that is harmful, only
strengthening unhealthy thinking? Or are you making every effort to
add to yourself healthy thinking which will produce the Divine
Nature? This
nature is the nature of the "Special Creation", as you enter into
the fullness of your creation.

2 Peter 1:3-4:
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and
godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own
glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great
and precious promises, so that through them you may participate
in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world
caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort
to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness,
knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to
self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly
kindness, love. (NIV
My prayer is that you will be able to
experience the nature which you will have in heaven beginning "now".
I pray that you will see yourself as a "Special Creation", created
by God with a heavenly nature that can experience the presence of
the Almighty God.
Blessings,
Alan
